When we were in
need of a buck to further improve rear ends, feet
and maintain shoulder assemblies in our herd, we saw Forte offered for sale. He seemed the perfect fit. We would like to
extend a big thank you to Forrest-Pride for allowing
this boy to join our farm! Forte excels in dairy
strength being very downhill and sharp over the
withers, as well as being open in the ribbing with
beautiful pliability of skin. He stands on excellent
feet and exceptional rear legs with the widest
escutcheon we've seen on a buck! His level back
blends smoothly into a wide, flat rump that has the
proper structure which we are breeding for. We would
like to see more depth in his barrel and width in
the front end, but Forte excels in nearly all the
other categories in which our herd is weakest. We
are particularly excited to cross him with a few
specific does in the hopes that he will improve rear
leg set, escutcheon, feet, and add the amazing milk
production in his genetics.
Forte's dam,
Wild Jazz, is a fourth
generation SGCH doe and linear appraised 91 (EEEE)
as a three year old. Her dam is the beautiful Moby,
a 3X breed leader and LA-92 with a lifetime milk
production of 25,570 pounds in 2431 days.
Jazz's sire is +B SGCH Fir Meadow Soon Wildwood
LA-90, a son of the famous Windysprings Monsoon
LA-91 and Lucky*Star's QK Nasturium LA-93 and 4X
Breed Leader. Forte's sire is Rockin-CB KV Alleged
who recently earned his GCH and appraised 90 (VEE).
Alleged's paternal side is filled with many
beautiful goats from the Kastdemur herd, and his
maternal side has some famous Rockin-CB goats,
including Prankster LA-93. |
