Asteria is a
stunning doe that we brought into our herd from
Barnowl! Asteria excels in all areas across the
scoreboard, from her striking general appearance, to
her dairy strength, and extreme width and depth
throughout. She stands on beautiful feet and legs,
with a stronger front end assembly as opposed to her
dam. Her extreme width and levelness over the top
line translates into her impressively wide, open
escutcheon. We particularly admire her extreme
development and wedge shape of barrel, and her
excellent levelness and flatness of rump. While we
would like to see an all around more correct
shoulder assembly like our Constantine daughters, we
otherwise find it difficult to fault her. To say we
are excited about this doe is an understatement, and
look forward to watching her develop.
Asteria has continued to mature beautifully!
Still one of our most striking young does, she
combines depth and power with a ton of dairyness and
style. Her shoulder assembly has matured much more
correctly over the year, and, although her front
feet still like to point outward a bit, Asteria is
really coming together as a stunning young doe! We
are excited to take her out to some fall shows and
look forward to freshening her next year!
Now a first freshener, Asteria has grown into a huge
doe! Her stature, length and levelness of topline,
and depth
of body are truly impressive for a first freshener, and her udder,
although a bit on the smaller side in relation to
her size, is very correct. All we need is another
freshening to add some capacity to that mammary
system, and Asteria should become one of our most
exciting does in our show string!! |
