Cecilia is a
repeat breeding of our very promising Rose. Like
Rose, she excels in general appearance and body
capacity, inheriting improved dairy strength and
angularity. However, unlike her older sister,
Cecilia also maintains the extreme width and depth
throughout as seen in her dam. She has a typical
"Constantine" shoulder assembly, being extremely
correct, and stands on very good feet and legs. We
would like to see her front legs stronger and
straighter behind the knee, but that should improve
as she matures. We look forward to getting her into
the show ring! Cecelia has matured into
quite the powerhouse! Her front legs did indeed
straighten out and gained the strength proportional
to her body size. Her structural build with her
immensely wide and open escutcheon speaks
production. We are very excited to see her freshen
next year! As expected, Cecelia freshened
with a gorgeous udder. Globular in shape, extremely
high and wide in the rear, with great smoothness and
extension to the fore.....it is the best
"Constantine" udder yet! And she even has beautiful
teat size and placement to boot! True to her dam
line and right in line with her paternal
half-sisters, Cecilia's milk production has also
matched the size of her udder, easily becoming our
highest producing first freshener this year. We have
been so impressed with Cecilia that we retained her
son sired by Mud as our Junior herdsire, and will
repeat the breeding in the hopes of a doeling.
