Carter was an exciting, if unanticipated,
purchase in the summer of 2018. When we saw Andre
offer him for sale, we jumped at the changed to add
him to our breeding program. Carter excels in
general appearance. He is wide and level across the
top line, deep in the heart girth, has a very wide,
flat rump, and walks with excellent width between
the hocks carried up into his escutcheon. He has an
excellent front end assembly and stands on very
structurally sound legs and feet. The substance of
bone and growth in this guy is just fantastic! He
will, without a doubt, be one of the largest on the
farm once he reaches maturity.
Due to our
current large volume of bucks, Carter was not used
much in the fall of 2018. He will be used on several
does this coming fall of 2019.
Carter's
dam, SGCH Forrest-Pride Diva Beyonce 6*M LA92 (EEEE),
is an absolutely gorgeous doe. A fifth generation
SGCH with 24 BOB and 9 BIS wins to her name, as well
as being named the National Total Performer at both
the 2014 and 2016 ADGA Nationals, this is a truly
impressive animal that is built to last. Carter's
sire, *B Jen-Mae-Ka Kids Once U Go Blak, is the son
of SGCH Jen-Mae-Ka Kids Kae-Cee 2*M LA91 (VEEE), who
in turn is the daughter of GCH Jen-Mae-Ka Kids
Jaycee 1*M LA93 (EEEE), the 2013 ADGA Reserve
National Champion and Reserve Best Udder, Best Udder
at the 2016 ADGA National Show, and once again
Reserve Best Udder at the 2017 ADGA National Show.
Blak appraised an impressive 88 (VEV) as only a
yearling, and is producing some truly stunning kids
in the Forrest-Pride herd.
Having finished his
championship at the huge Carrollton Spring Show,
Carter can now stay home from shows and do his job
as a buck. After his only daughter from 2019 won her
Jr. leg as an intermediate kid and seeing his 2020
kids, I expect I will be using him quite a bit in
the future! This guy is a special one. |
