Rose was the only
doeling out of a set of triplets from Lucy and
Constantine. Like her dam, she has a beautiful head
and long, level back, standing on strong feet. She
is improved over her dam with a better shoulder
assembly, smoother blending of neck into withers,
and overall a stronger front end. Rose is also
significantly more dairy than her dam. Although we
would like to see a bit more width in the barrel at
this point, she is developing into a beautiful
yearling with a lovely escutcheon!
Rose
freshened very nicely for a first freshener! Her
mammary, although on the smaller side in relation to
her body, is very correctly attached and shaped. In
particular, her teats are a huge improvement over
her dam, being smaller and more appropriately
shaped. Rose initially had a rough go coming into
milk, but now she is just starting to hit the pail.
Having an udder has really helped make her appear
more downhill and level, and she is right behind
Star being our deepest and most mature in body. We
look forward to taking her out to some shows this
fall! |
